This 36,500 ton vessel is the latest addition to the MSC fleet. Able to take just over 1,050 passengers (lower berths), clients will be able to choose from 7 night cruises in the Mediterranean from May through October, 11-night cruises to the Eastern Mediterranean in the fall, and 11 night cruises in the Caribbean during the winter months. Genoa is home port for Mediterranean cruises and Fort Lauderdale for the winter sailings. Clients can enjoy spacious cabins, all with private baths or showers, air conditioning, 3 channel radio, phones and televisions in every cabin. The junior suites and the suites have sitting areas. The retractable glass roof over the Riviera Terrace and pool are surrounded by spacious teak decks. Breakfast and lunch are served in the dining room or buffet style on deck, and dinner offers two seatings. Formerly known as the StarShip Atlantic, the ship has been refurbished since MSC took it over in April 1997. Although children’s programs are still available, the emphasis has shifted away from cartoon characters and more in tune with adult needs. One children’s lounge has been converted into a bar.
